CONTEST: TAK CUBA TAK TAHU

ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Hoping that it never is too late to wish everyone Happy New Year, 2013! I know that this is almost towards the middle of the year but I just had to wish all of you my adorable followers a prosperous year ahead. :D

Anyway, as a kickstart, I had organized a mini contest named Tak Cuba Tak Tahu on my cooking page on Facebook and alhamdulillah, the responses I received from the great followers of mine were truly astounding! thank you so much for your participation.

Contest ini sangat mudah sebenarnya, mereka hanya perlu pilih mana-mana resepi yang pernah saya siarkan di dalam page itu dan mereka perlu cuba sendiri sediakan di rumah. Mereka digalakkan untuk ubahsuai resepi dan cara persembahan. mudah kan?

Actuallly, I organized this very first contest because I wanted everyone to TRY. yes, that's the word. Tak salah mencuba. Kadang-kadang sesuatu benda tu nampak sangat susah tapi bila dah buat, dia macam, OMAIGADDD senang la pulak. kan? :D plus, bila join contest ini, menang atau kalah, tiada siapa yang rugi kerana makanan yang telah disediakan itu boleh dimakan sendiri atau disajikan kepada orang lain. ha, kan banyak pahalanya tu, in sya Allah.

hey2, talk less now. Who's the winner? yeah, pemenangnya telah pun saya umumkan di page saya itu beberapa minggu lalu. Tahniah Farah Hanafi! Gadis kecil molek ini telah menghantar 11 penyertaan. SubhanAllah, sangat rajin! saya telah memilih hidangan beliau yang diberi nama Rich Chocolate-Cherry Pudding with Cherry Sauce and Chocolate Rice sebagai pemenang pertandingan ini. 







ini ialah adaptasi resepi Rich Chocolate Pudding yang saya pernah buat 3 tahun lepas. :) 




Tak dilupakan juga kepada para peserta yang lain, saya sangat terharu dengan kesudian anda untuk sertai mini contest ini. Maaf kerana tidak dapat sediakan lebih banyak hadiah, tapi in sya Allah, di lain masa, rezeki daripada Allah dilimpah, saya akan adakan lagi contest dengan lebih banyak hadiah. 

Hadiah yang saya sediakan untuk pemenang contest kali ini saya belikan khas di Bandung, Indonesia. Walaupun simple, ikhlas saya berikan dari hati buat pemenang. Tahniah sekali lagi. :')

ANEKA DESSERT: Raisin and Chocolate Bread Pudding with Custard Sauce




Assalamualaikum everyone! having sweet tooth yet wanting something super easy to make? here's what you ought to try!  Anyway, this recipe is adapted from Chef Hanieliza's recipe. I altered the recipe by using chocolate chips to satisfy my palette. :D 


Ingredients:



for bread pudding:

- white bread (8 pieces)
- fresh milk (2 cups)
- eggs (2)
- corn flour (one tablespoon)
- sugar (4 tablespoons)
- butter (2 tablespoons)
- raisins (1/2 tablespoons)
- chocolate chips (1/2 tablespoons)
- vanilla essence (1 tablespoon)



for custard sauce


- evaporated milk (one can)
- custard flour (2 tablespoons)
- sugar (2 tablespoon)
- vanilla essence (one teaspoon)



How to prepare bread pudding:


1. In a baking tray, tear the bread into small pieces and soak in the fresh milk and leave for 30 minutes

2. while waiting for the bread to be fully soaked, prepare this: 


* whisk butter and sugar till fluffy before adding in two eggs, corn flour and vanilla essence. pour this mixture on top of the soaked bread.

* bake in the oven at 180 degree celcius for 35 to 40 minutes.



How to prepare custard sauce:

in a pan, on a low heat, combine all ingredients for custard sauce and stir until it bubbles and thickens.

ANEKA ROTI: Spicy Orange Chicken Mini Sandwich with Sunny Bowl (Kiwi and Orange Cuts)

Assalamualaikum..ha..untuk mereka yang plan nak buat jamuan kat rumah, high tea ke, birthday party ke, this finger food might be the easiest and one of the cutest choices to opt for. cubalah! :)




Ingredients: 



for spicy chicken orange sandwich:

1.chicken flesh (shredded)
2.shallots, ginger, garlic, bird eyes chilies and shrimp paste (optional) (all are blended)
3. orange juice 
4. seasonings (salt, sugar)
5. wholemeal bread (cut into preferred shapes)

for sunny bowl: 
cut into cubes kiwi and orange and place them in orange bowl .

how to prepare the sandwich:
sautee the blended ingredients before adding in shredded chicken flesh and seasoning. 

optional: can be eaten with thousand Island sauce.


kalau taknak guna ayam, anda boleh gantikan dengan isi ikan/udang/daging/ham/turkey atau apa-apa yang anda sukai! :) 







citrusy, spicy, tender. :)

Apa Kata Wanita Bersama Zamzarina TV1..It's an Honor!

ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Fuhhhh...been ages this blog being left out. I was really busy with my new life as a practicum teacher, here in Taiping.

 Beberapa hari lepas, saya tergerak hati untuk buka inbox email dan saya ternampak satu email dari pihak Apa Kata Wanita Bersama Zamzarina. Rancangan bual bicara atau 'talk show' ini disiarkan di TV1 pada setiap hari Ahad jam 3 petang. 




Di dalam email tersebut ada menyatakan mereka mahu menyiarkan blog saya ini dalam slot 'Blog Pilihan' di dalam rancangan tersebut. terkesima sebentar. Iyalah, blog ini pun tidaklah sepopular mana. Namun, pelawaan tersebut saya terima dengan gembira tak terhingga. Mungkinkah ini salah satu permulaan ke arah tahap yang lebih serius dalam dunia masakan buat diri saya? Tak siapa tahu :') *praying*


Apapun, saya berterima kasih buat pihak AKW dan saya harap blog ini bakal memberikan manfaat dan motivasi buat semua yang melawatnya. Makanan halal, makanan perut dan minda. :)

ANEKA DESSERT: Chocolate Strawberry

ASSALAMUALAIKUM

Another dessert coming. Try this. Not only they are nice to look, when served chill, they turn your taste bud happy, InsyaAllah. :)

ingredients:

1. strawberry 
2. toothpicks
3.cooking chocolate bar (1 bar)
4. a teaspoon of vanilla essence
5. half of a teaspoon of chili powder/paprika (to enhance the chocolate's richness)
6. topping:crushed almond/crushed peanut/icing sugar/chocolate rice (up to you!)


method: 

1. clean the strawberries and let them held by the toothpicks, set aside
2. melt the chocolate bar, add in vanilla essence and chili powder
3. dip the strawberry into the chocolate bar and top with topping of your choice
4.keep them in the fridge
5.serve chill. would be great to be eaten with ice cream too :)

Aneka Dessert: 4 layers trifle: (buttercake+cream cheese+chocolate sauce+kiwi slices)

Assalamualaikum


It has been ages since I last posted a new recipe here. Bet that it is really scorching out there? Do you need something cold and refreshing to ease down the warmth inside? try this! very simple and yummeyh, insyaAllah :)
ingredients:

butter cake
cream cheese
low fat milk
caster/icing sugar
kiwi/strawberry
dark cooking chocolate
cocoa powder
vanilla essence

preparation of ingredients:
cut the butter cake into cubes (size depends on the size of your serving glass)

in a bowl, whip the cream cheese with sufficient amount of low fat milk, caster sugar and vanilla essence until fluffy

melt the dark chocolate

slice the kiwi into chunks

method:
in your serving glass, first arrange the butter cake slices. this will be the base of your trifle. then spread the cheese cream. next, pour the melted dark chocolate before arranging slices of kiwi on top. repeat the same steps until the glass is full. make sure that the top layer is the cream cheese layer. sprinkle the top with cocoa powder. set in fridge and you are ready to enjoy it anytime u like!

ANEKA NASI: Nasi Ayam Penyet

ASSALAMUALAIKUM

auwww..auwww..gigih tak? gigih tak? yeah..I know I am. sebenarnya 3 hari sebelum resepi ni saya buat, saya dah makan dah pun bende alah ni kat Wangsa Walk. Balik je Tg. Malim, terus mengidam kembali. apakah? Disebabkan resepi ni 100% saya gunakan resepi dari internet, silalah jenguk resepinya di sini. selamat mencuba!

KENAPA ANDA HARUS CUBA RESEPI INI?

bagi yang sukakan ayam penyet lah kan, saya boleh reviewkan sikit kenapa anda harus cuba


1. ayamnya rangup di luar, lembut di dalam
2.sambalnya super yummy
3.seketul ayam penyet yang dah dipenyet (smashed) boleh disuap ke dalam banyak mulut. HAHA. abundant.


*kalau betul-betul dibuat dengan penuh perasaan lah*
